One key in. One file out.
Shilp is a wheel, not a factory: it runs your idea once through a mould and hands you a finished app as a single HTML file. Here is the entire workflow, honestly written down.
The four steps
Make one free key at a key provider
Keys are free to create and come with generous free tiers. Sign up, open the keys page, and copy one. That's the only step that happens outside Shilp.
Paste it into your app file
The builder keeps the key in the file it is pasted into — nothing on our side, nothing in the cloud. Clear it any day by regenerating the key at the provider.
Say the idea in your language
Type it like you'd say it. Romanized Hindi counts; Tamil, Bangla, Marathi count; plain English counts as well. Shilp matches your words to a mould with listed shapes.
Watch, test, download — walk away
The build streams live; you test every button on the same screen. When it looks right, save the file. It works offline, forever, on any phone.
Providers your key can come from
| PROVIDER | FREE TIER | MODELS | SIGN-UP |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenRouter recommended | YES — big | hundreds of models, one key | openrouter.ai/keys |
| Google Gemini | YES — big | gemini flash & pro family | aistudio.google.com |
| DeepSeek | PAID — very cheap | strong code & reasoning | platform.deepseek.com |
| Ollama (local) | FREE — offline | local models, no internet | ollama.com |
Keys — handle with care
Use your own key in your own file — apps you build for yourself, on your phone, in your browser.
Sharing the app? Rotate the key first, or publish the app with the key slot left empty for the new user to paste their own.
Never paste a key into an app shared by someone you don't trust. Free tiers make every key cheap to rotate — rotate often.
